ABOUT THE DRIVING SCHOOL
Who We Are?
The trade name 'Uplands School of Motoring' was established in 1984.
The objective of this driving school is and always has been to teach people to drive using the defensive driving method.
This method of teaching starts with control over the clutch/gears/steering/ forward planning and lots of common sense, consideration for other road users, including pedestrians and animals.
Preparing students for the challenges of driving on modern roads with modern up to date vehicles.
We encourage our pupil to practice in their own vehicle if they have access to one. We do however, recommend that we get them to a level of competence before private practice begins. We will inform the pupil when we think they have achieved that ability level.
