Well now this is a good day for someone... Freya Walker has just passed her driving test today and a massive well done to you..
Poor Freya had her last test cancelled and another and then another but it's finally all done..
Getting to the horses and working in her mum's place down Mumbles Shoreline hotel ( bit of a plug then) Nice food and great place to stay will be easier in her little VW..
Well done Freya it was easy to teach you always had a smile and happy... Keep at it ... Well done from Richard and everyone at Uplands School of Motoring...
Team Uplands / Sheep back after a year out racing. Not the start we wanted with bad weather - rain and near gale force winds. Richard was doing practice day as ever and didn’t go too well with two slow spills on both his wet and dry bike ( rude word about me racing two bikes even tho Chris has two 😂). No damage to rider or bikes so all good to go for Saturdays qualifying. ( Just annoyed as hell )
He stuck behind me for qualifying, knowing I was taking my time and he stayed on! ( Amazing ! )
Race 1 raining and soaking track and I got a great start (for me) made up 4 places up the hill but eased off on the back straight as most bikes including mine were aqua planing at 150mph !! Rich and Ross Orchard passes me on lap 2 and my battle with Rab lasted til the line with him edging it by 4 tenths of a sec.
( RIchard... I decided to sit behind Ross and just finish the race had enough of picking myself up of the track and the mud) Race 2 much the same but no rain and a drying track managed to drop my lap times by 19 secs !! (But still not near 2018)
Day 2 race 3 and same as race 2 but Richard has to pull off track due to an oil leak, glad he did as I was behind him !! Managed to match race 2 lap times but still way off pace of 2018.
( Richard with the day I was having decided to call it a day be back soon)
Final race and what a cracker, tidy start and settled in, battling to and fro with Rab again, pulled back 5 secs on him on last two laps to finish 2 sec behind and 4 secs quicker lap then previous race. Nice to get back on the track and meet up with th NG family.
Ben Davies and Scott were flying (literally) in thier class so much I lent Ben my spare helmet as his high side killed his one. He came in after next race and said I’ve bought your helmet off you- yep he binned it again. Next race is Castle Combe at the end of September. Thanks to Anthony Dixey AWD electrical, Lance Pugh Ground Tech and Johnny Allen JAMANANDAVAN. Finall thanks to suspension master and Aprillia Superteen legend Charles Cboyo Reynolds of KSMRACING.
A big thanks to all who have helped us Gary Maguire for fixing the bikes AGAIN!
Rowan Jeffery for his stupendous engines, ( Not the oil leak one)
